Specifications include, but are not limited to: Immigration Legal Services for the full range of immigration legal services that the University may require. It is anticipated that such Immigration Legal Services will be provided on both an on-call basis and in connection with specific matters that may arise. The University intends to select and enter into agreements with one or more individual attorneys and/or law firms to assure that the OGC and IPO have access to immigration legal services at competitive rates. The amount of work that may be awarded under this RFP will vary, and the University of Idaho provides no guarantee as to a minimum number of hours and/or petitions to be filed. It is anticipated that the OGC and IPO will need the selected attorney and/or law firm to provide the following legal services: • Preparation and filing of H-1B, O-1, and TN visas, and any necessary waivers, if applicable; • Preparation and filing of labor certifications, immigrant petitions, adjustment of status, and the first petition for employment authorization, as well as visa renewals and extensions; • Preparation and filing of Legal Permanent Residence (LPR) petitions, including the Prevailing Wage and Labor Certification process; • Consultations, legal advice, preparation of forms, applications, and/or petitions, and representation of the University of Idaho before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of State, and other relevant federal agencies related to the immigration services provided by the attorney and/or law firm; • Providing general legal advice to the University and its employees on all compliance matters relating to all visa immigration matters; and/or • Meeting periodically as needed with the Office of General Counsel and/or the IPO regarding the legal services provided (anticipated 3-5 consultations per year).
