Specifications include, but are not limited to: Restorative Justice: The class will provide basic knowledge and understanding of how crime impacts victims and the community. The class will promote a sense of responsibility in the offender and acknowledgment of the harm done to victims and to the community. The class will encourage participants to be accountable for their behavior and to make reparations to the community when possible. Job Training Certificates: The training will provide the knowledge participants need to seek employment in specific skilled labor jobs. The training will also provide certification in a skilled labor job. Examples of skilled labor training includes forklift and electrical safety. Trauma Class for Men: This class will focus on helping men identify and cope with trauma. DCDC is looking for contractor(s) who can provide this class to 4 groups of men each week. Financial Literacy: This class will focus on the basic principles of financial literacy. The curriculum should include how to establish and/or fix credit. Parenting: This class will focus on parenting skills. Skills should include techniques to address issues of communication, discipline, decision making, relationships, self-control and school success. Participants may or may not be parents. Yoga: This class will provide basic yoga and meditation instruction. Literacy Services: This class will prepare individuals to participant in GED classes. The focal point of this class will be reading, writing, and math.
