Specifications include, but are not limited to: 8.1 All waste collected under this contract must be transported to the Bluff Road Landfill located at 6001 Bluff Road in Lincoln, Nebraska or other Ownerdesignated location within the City’s zoning jurisdiction. 8.2 Waste and recyclables collected under this contract are not required to be separated from materials collected from other customers of the contracted Vendor. 8.3 Vendor shall indicate in the Attribute section of the E-Bid response the facility(ies) that will be used to transfer and/or ultimately process the recyclables collected. 8.3.1 Processing facilities must possess all the appropriate permits. 8.3.2 Vendor shall notify the Owner’s Representative in writing if the facility(ies) identified in the response changes at any time during the term of the Agreement. 8.4 Vendor must provide a list of typical recyclable materials not accepted in the recyclables container based on the material processing facility(ies) coupled to the price listed in the Line Items. 8.4.1 The list must be typed on company letterhead and attached to the Response Attachments section of the E-Bid. 8.5 The Owner has an interest in maximizing the amount of recyclables collected from the City, County and Public Building Commission locations. 8.5.1 Vendor must identify any necessary sorting requirements required to maximize the amount of materials able to be recycled (e.g. single stream, source separated or some material source separated (cardboard, office paper) and the remaining material co-mingled). 8.5.2 The sorting requirements must be typed on company letterhead and attached to the Response Attachments section of the E-Bid. 8.5.3 The Owner may implement use, and require collection and separation at the Vendor’s chosen material processing facility, of Hefty Energy Bags/Hefty ReNew Bags (program name change as of spring 2023). Hefty Energy Bags/Hefty ReNew Bags delivered under the Agreement to a material processing facility will be transported at no cost to the Vendor or the Vendor’s chosen material processing facility to the Hefty Energy Bag/Hefty ReNew Bags processing facility. Proper storage and care of the filled Hefty Energy Bags/Hefty ReNew Bags while accumulated at the Vendor’s chosen material processing facility is required under this Agreement. Implementing the Hefty Energy Bag/Hefty ReNew Bags program at any location provided collection service under this Agreement shall not be cause for an increase in per collection event pricing. 8.6 The Vendor will not be prohibited from collecting recyclables from other customers on route and co-mingling with recyclables collected under this Agreement. 8.7 Vendor shall not comingle recyclables with waste or dispose of recyclables in the landfill (Duty to Recycle; LMC 8.32.136).
