Specifications include, but are not limited to: Task 1: Establish Werges IHAP Corn Food Plot Spring 2023: 2.5 acres Description: Contractor must establish 2.5 acres of corn food plot into last year’s soybean food plot areas marked on Attachment A following these steps: 1. Disk a minimum of 3 passes to prepare site. 2. Before planting incorporate fertilizer along with the tillage forseed bed preparation. Fertilize in spring according to 75N 52P 60K or equivalent. 3. Plant food plots. Drill population of Liberty Link Corn seed (or state approved equivalent) at 20,000-25,000 pounds per acre or as approved by DNR Project Manager. 4. Spray appropriate pre-emergent or post emergent herbicides according to their labeled rates to keep weeds to a minimum. DNR project manager approval needed prior to any herbicide application. 5. Spray second pass of herbicide including Liberty herbicide (or state approved equivalent) after V3 leaf stage and before V6 leaf stage.
