All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Main Fire Alarm Panel – The main Fire Alarm Panel at each location noted shall be thoroughly inspected, cleaned and tested for proper operation/function. Battery systems (UPS) shall also be inspected/tested/logged for current service life, corrosion, loose connections, voltage and operational amperage. 2. Pull Stations – Shall be manually activated and logged on the Proposer’s appropriate form as to status of “Pass/Fail” with comments as necessary. 3. Smoke Detectors – Shall be tested using industry approved chemical/product that simulates actual smoke and logged on the Proposer’s appropriate form as to status of “Pass/Fail” with comments as necessary. 4. HVAC Duct Smoke Detection Systems - Shall be tested using industry approved chemical/product that simulates actual smoke and logged on the Proposer’s appropriate form as to status of “Pass/Fail” with comments as necessary. No HVAC duct detection system will be considered to have “Passed” the testing if the air handling system it is attached to fails to shut down completely upon activation. 5. Heat Detection Systems – Shall be tested using industry approved systems designed to simulate the heat point sensitivity level for each device and logged on the Proposer’s appropriate form as to status of “Pass/Fail” with comments as necessary. 6. Sprinkler System Flow and Tamper Switches – All fire sprinkler system flow and temper switches shall be tested in industry standards to ensure for proper alarm activation should said system be activated or tampered with in any way. Proposer shall also inspect general condition of sprinkler heads and associated piping and provide a summary sheet detailing the overall condition of the system including facility compliance with requirements for spare heads and appropriate head replacement tool. 7. Testing Summary Sheet – Shall include a comprehensive log sheet to include all the items listed in sections 1 thru 6 as noted above, with notation of each device and whether or not the device passed or failed in the annual testing. The basic summation sheet shall be written in narrative form to include relevant issues discovered during the completion of the annual testing.
