Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Project goal is to supply emergency power for the (2) chillers, (2) chilled water pumps, and air conditioning controls of Building 3 from the generator serving Building 2. Construction is anticipated to occur during seasonal shutdown of the air conditioning system (generally November until April but subject to weather conditions) beginning spring of 2023 and completing remaining Work prior to spring of 2024. The Contractor shall ensure that the air conditioning system can be operated during the summer of 2023 and must complete work sufficiently to safely operate the system. A schedule must be provided by the Contractor showing how this will be accomplished prior to commencement of construction. Refer to Bidding documents issued by the State of West Virginia for schedules and timeframes to be complied with on the Project. If discrepancies are identified, the State documents supersede language in this section. Modify the lugs of Building 2 generator and add a new 400A/3P breaker in the generator to serve Building 3 chillers and chilled water pumps. Provide a temporary 200KW generator during the work on Building 2 generator to supply emergency power to Building 2 in case of a normal power outage. 3. Install 400A feeder underground between Building 2 generator and a 400A disconnect switch at Building 3. Provide trenching/backfilling with an asphalt topping to match existing finished surface. 4. Provide 300KVA 480:208Y/120V transformer to match voltage of Building 3 chillers and chilled water pumps. Provide 800A distribution panel to serve chillers and chilled water pumps. 5. Provide a 400A automatic transfer switch (ATS) for each chiller and a 100A ATS for the chilled water pumps and air conditioning control panel. 6. Modify chiller underground feeders to wire through respective ATS to supply emergency power. 7. Provide new 100A distribution panel and connect new panel feeder to load side of 100A ATS.
