Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Sandoval County Purchasing Office, on behalf of Sandoval County Fire and Rescue, is soliciting proposals from prospective offerors who will be able to provide professional public safety psychology service for firefighters and EMS personnel. 1. The Offeror shall provide a mental health staff member to respond to critical incidents including officer involved shootings, deaths of firefighters or other county safety personnel, patient deaths, high stress or traumatic call types, etc. The designated mental health professional for critical incident responses shall be available 24/7/365 and shall be in person, preferably within one hour of the requested response. 2. After large events and at the request of the Fire Chief or designee, the offeror shall provide critical incident-stress-debriefings for staff members of Sandoval County Fire and Rescue. The debrief shall occur as soon as possible following the incident and shall include as many responders impacted as possible. The offeror shall offer individual counselling services for impacted personnel as needed/requested. 3. At the direction of the Chief of designee, the offeror shall provide Return-to-Duty screening of personnel impacted by a critical incident. 4. The offeror shall offer subject-related training, as available, to help personnel become familiar with the impacts of mental health and feel comfortable utilizing mental health resources. Training shall also be offered to help responders work with the community during mental health crisis type events. Training may also include working with designated peer-support personnel of the department. 5. The offeror shall provide, as needed, general counseling services for all Sandoval County firefighters, medical personnel, support personnel, and their immediate family members. Members may request services via self-referral, supervisor request, peer support personnel, chaplain team members, or as required by a directive or supervisor. There shall be no limit to the number of sessions available to each individual who is seen.
