Specifications include, but are not limited to: ISU envisions this project will start with the development and approval of a School Street Master Landscape Development Plan. After approval of this plan the project will be developed into separate and discreet scopes that can be implemented separately. Currently ISU envisions these scopes as follows: • Phase 1 – ISU Urban Promenade (to replace “in Exchange”) • Phase 2 – ISU Divine 9 Plaza • Phase 3 – Campus Entry & Gateway (including dedicated WKCFA Signage) • Phase 4 – WKCFA Urban Promenade • Phase 5 - Hovey Hall/Administration Urban Promenade • Phase 6 – North Street Redevelopment • Phase 7 – North School Street Redevelopment ISU has identified the following features and characteristics to be incorporated into this project: • Any built elements need to be architecturally appropriate for ISU • Incorporation of the future Design 9 Plaza • Provide inviting and necessary links to ISU Buildings on School Street and to the Quad • Provide “campus Gateway” features introducing ISU at the entry points. • Incorporation of landscaping and planting to supplement the Fell Arboretum • Enhancing the campus and student pedestrian experience • Be a place on campus where students want to be and do things • Places for students, faculty and visitors to gather, rest, congregate, etc. • Flexibility/ability to change and evolve over time • provide a suitable and easily accessible space to host campus events (relocated from the Quad, such as Quad day, Poster sale, etc.) • Provide an unimpeded pathway for necessary emergency vehicles without compromising the desirability of the space
