Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) seeks proposals from highly qualified consultants, for the provision of Revenue Cycle Analysis for the City owned Bartlett Regional Hospital (BRH or Hospital). The following tasks are assumed necessary to provide a comprehensive analysis, however, Consultants may suggest modifications as part of their responses. Note: The selected Consultant is expected to work closely with the BRH’s CFO or designees and will design the best plan to complete the projects goals. Key Tasks : Overview : Meet with key stakeholders to analyze staff processes, procedures, and workflows in the following areas: a) Insurance Verification b) Prior Authorizations c) Coding d) Billing e) Denials f) Payment Posting g) Collections Goals, Focus and Expected Outcomes : To assess the revenue cycle workflow, documentation flow and information flow from intake through collections to identify areas of duplication, bottlenecks, and productivity problems. Analyze cash collection processes against best practices and suggest improvements that could help reduce the number of days in AR. (Currently implementing AccuReg and True Bridge first out self-pay) Analyze charge capture, coding, clean claims billing, follow up/collections, denial management, registration accuracy and authorizations. Analyze Contractual Allowance Reserve and Bad Debt Reserve calculations and provide feedback and suggestions to utilize best practices.
