Specifications include, but are not limited to: The OTT MF Pro flow meters are the only modern flow meters specifically included as an option in the flow equipment drop-down within our BURP field forms. They are the most reputable and affordable option for a lowmaintenance flow measuring device that works well despite low-flow conditions, turbulent water, and/or an abundance of aquatic plant growth, all of which represent conditions commonly encountered at Beneficial use Reconnaissance field sites. Not all flow meters on the market are created equal, and while other companies do make “flow meters,” they do not perform well with the type of wear we expose them too or perform as efficiently in many of our commonly encountered field conditions. All 6 Idaho regional offices already have at least one set of OTT flow equipment. This equipment is only interchangeable/compatible with the items we are am requesting to purchase as backups.
