Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is accepting bids for Epoxy Paint Striping Butte Area. Contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, traffic control and incidentals necessary to apply epoxy pavement markings per contract information. Contractor shall replace the existing stripes in kind unless otherwise directed by the Maintenance Chief. Epoxy traffic markings, which after application and curing are determined to be defective and not in conformance with the contract specifications, shall be repaired. Repair of defective markings shall be made at the Contractor’s expense and be performed to meet the contract specifications. The Contractor will present to the Maintenance Chief for his/her approval, a traffic control plan to include lane closure for words and symbol application, operation on two-lane and multi-lane roads, and the sequence of operations. When the work vehicle occupies an interior lane (a lane other than the far right or far left) of a directional roadway having a right-shoulder 10 feet or more in width, Shadow Vehicle 2 should drive the right-hand shoulder with a sign indicating that work is taking place in the interior lane. Furnish a shadow vehicle equipped with a truck-mounted attenuator (TMA) meeting the National Cooperative Highway Research Council (NCHRP) 350 standards and appropriate test level.
