Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Spring Cleanup Services: Unless otherwise specified, “spring cleanup” shall entail collection, removal, and lawful disposal of all trash and debris at the property, including, but not limited to, leaves, twigs, and branches. Spring cleanup shall be completed by May 1st annually. • Fall Cleanup Services: Unless otherwise specified, “fall cleanup” shall entail collection, removal, and lawful disposal of all trash and debris at the property, including, but not limited to, leaves, twigs, and branches. Fall cleanup activities shall only be completed once per season. Contractor shall commence fall cleanup activities after November 1st and shall complete said activities for all locations by November 20th annually. • Mowing Services: Unless otherwise noted in the scope of work or on the bid sheet, mowing shall be provided during the period of April 15 – November 15th annually. Frequency of mowing shall be scheduled as needed so as grass height is not less than 3” and no taller than 4”. • Landscape Bed Maintenance Services: Shall mean the following: o Mulching: Contractor shall provide and install bark mulch in planting beds and tree wells when specified. Bark mulch shall be comprised of a spruce / hemlock blend. Color brown. Mulch shall be 2” deep when spread. Mulch shall be installed only after “Spring Cleanup Services” (defined above) are completed. Mulch shall be installed not later than May 1st annually. o Trimming & Pruning: Periodic trimming of trees and pruning of shrubs located within planting beds as needed in order to keep plants in a healthy, attractive condition, as well as to ensure that plantings do not interfere with pedestrian or vehicular traffic. o Weeding: Periodic weeding of landscaped planting beds during the growing season (at least twice per month between May 1st and September 30th) to ensure the beds remain attractive and well-manicured. • Brush Hog Services: Shall mean mowing of grass, weeds, and small woody plants so as vegetation is not greater than 6” in height after cutting. Brush hogging shall be done 3 times per year (i.e. every 2 months) during the growing season of April 15 – November 15th.
