Specifications include, but are not limited to: All work completed by federal, state, and local building code and in accordance with job site safety: 1. Furnish all labor, tools and equipment necessary for the complete and satisfactory performance of plumbing repair work 2. Perform routine and emergency plumbing repair service at the University facilities such as offices, classrooms, boiler rooms, dormitories, athletics, research facilities, neutralization tanks, backflow preventer, shut off valves, and underground utilities (chilled water, domestic water, heating hot water, gas lines, etc. 3. Maintenance will consist of a variety of tasks including but not limited to laying out, installing, replacing piping, and testing plumbing service, systems, and components. Systems include, but are not limited to domestic water, heating, cooling, hot water systems, conditioned water systems, pool water systems, sanitary sewer and storm systems, RO/DI systems as well as all related components required for municipal buildings and facilities. 4. Plans layout, installs and repairs plumbing systems, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. 5. Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable plumbing equipment consistent with specifications and local codes. 6. Prepare sketches showing location of plumbing equipment, or follows, diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed plumbing equipment is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring. 7. Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs plumbing equipment using tools. 8. Tests plumbing equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments, such as leak detectors, pressure tests. 9. Responsible for cleaning the work area after work is completed including removal of packaged material, sweeping/vacuuming the area of debris and leaving the work area in a safe condition. 10. Required to hold license or limited to project under $35,000. 11. Installation of new dedicated plumbing systems designed and installed to match our specifications. 12. Assist and advise UAPB on plumbing services in repair and preventative maintenance needs to include all material and labor.
