Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Hot Springs, Arkansas, on behalf of the Engineering and Utilities Department, is accepting bids to purchase valves and appurtenances for the Hot Springs Creek Sewer Pumping Station. The equipment shall be of new, current design production model and available to the commercial market. The bid shall include one copy of the manufacturer's published specification and warranty. The City reserves the right to review the manufacturer's specifications and to choose the unit deemed to be in the City's best interest. The City of Hot Springs reserves the right to award within the budget available. The equipment shall comply with all state and federal safety requirements. All valves, pipes, and fittings shall include gaskets, lubrication, bolting hardware, and appurtenances for a fully functioning unit. All valves, pipes, and fittings shall have all surfaces coated or lined with a material approved for wastewater applications. A. Valves to be complete and arrive at job site assembled with all necessary operators, valve boxes, extension stems, floor stands, worm and gear operators, operating nuts, etc., required for proper completion of work. B. Units shall have name of manufacturer and size of valve cast on the body or bonnet or shown on a permanently attached plate in raised letters. PLUG VALVES A. 100% Port Plug Valves shall have a minimum 100% open port area as defined as the geometric opening of the plug valve that is greater than or equal to the open are of the connecting pipe.
