Specifications include, but are not limited to: Municipal Court Teen Court requires a facilitator to provide a life skills/emotional management class for juvenile defendants called “Grow Your Mind” to be taught at the Los Alamos Public Schools. 1. Selected contractor shall foster and maintain on-going communications with area schools, courts, juvenile probation officers, and agencies providing educational programs; 2. Selected contractor shall receive referrals, contact juvenile defendants and parents, and maintain case documentation for completion of sanctions; 3. Selected contractor will be a licensed mental health professional and provide an educational program for juveniles with the following components; a. The Program will be conducted at Los Alamos Public Schools (“LAPS”); b. The Program will be a total of four (4) topics to be delivered over eight (8) class sessions. Sessions will rotate and continue through the school year. c. Each topic will be two (2) classes, the topics to be taught will be: Decision Making; Communication Skills; Coping Skills; and Conflict Management. All these topics will incorporate an alcohol and substance usage portion. 4. Selected contractor shall report to the Municipal Court Administrator and Teen Court Coordinator program results and ongoing activities, including data showing the rate of successful and timely completion of sanctions imposed by the Court. 5. Selected contractor shall submit invoices to County on a monthly basis for services rendered during the prior period. Payment shall be made only on approved or authorized services.
