Specifications include, but are not limited to: Valley City State University is requesting sealed proposals, from qualified vendors, to establish and award a contract for Sports Medicine services that support VCSU’s Sports Medicine and Athletic Training programs. The purpose of this solicitation is to obtain specific proposals from potential vendors to include how they will provide the requested Sports Medicine services, provide discount incentives (if any), value in kind, promotional considerations, sponsorship opportunities to support the VCSU Sports Medicine and Athletic Training program, and any other details the vendor deems relevant pertaining to a service and sponsorship agreement. a. The provider shall designate a team physician for Valley City State University athletic teams. This physician shall be board-certified with a preferred background in sports medicine. i. Be present on the sideline for all home football games and perform medical services as needed. ii. Perform services in accordance with all applicable laws, including HIPPA, VCSU rules and regulations, NAIA policies and regulations, and all other applicable rules, regulations, and policies of any conference of which VCSU is a member. iii. Always maintain confidentiality unless permission of the responsible party. iv. Maintain professional working relationships with all Valley City State employees and staff. v. Use and maintain equipment owned by VCSU. vi. Provide regular visits to the VCSU Athletic Training facilities to see athletes. b. The provider shall give direct access to Orthopedic Physicians/Surgeons with weekly and/or monthly visits to the VCSU Athletic Training facilities to see athletes. c. Provide funding to help support a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer salary for a VCSU employee.
