Specifications include, but are not limited to: Develop a wastewater facility expansion plan that will evaluate and recommend the improvements required for expanding wastewater treatment capacity at the Scarborough Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF), in accordance with state and federal regulations, to increase the Scarborough WWTF’s treatment capacity to enable seafood processors in the Port of Galilee to be able to discharge process wastewater to the WWTF in addition to allowing the WWTF to be able to process increased sewering needs throughout the Town. This will support expanded employment and increase revenue opportunities for the seafood processors and the businesses servicing their operations. Expanded treatment capacity would provide similar opportunities for other local businesses within the Port and the Scarborough WWTF’s service area, and the overall facilities plan would establish capacity requirements at the South Kingstown Regional WWTF (Regional WWTF) for the Town of Narragansett to accommodate the tributary service area.
