Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys is soliciting competitive quotes to provide custom-built wood pallets on an as needed basis. • The GMC has limited storage space. Contractor must provide just-in-time delivery of pallets two weeks from the date a pallet order is placed. • Pallets must be able to hold up to 1500 pounds. • Top pallet surface must have enough cross pieces to support boxes as short as 1-foot in length (5 or more cross slates). • Top cross slates that are ½” to ¾” x 5 ½” on the end pieces and ½” to ¾” x 3 ½” on the middle pieces is desired. • Bottom pallet surface must have three or more cross slates. • Total thickness of a pallet shall not exceed the standard pallet thickness of 4 ½ ” to 5”.
