Specifications include, but are not limited to: On behalf of Douglas County, Nebraska, the Douglas County Purchasing Agent is issuing this Request for Proposal for the purpose of selecting a qualified vendor to provide Media Advertising Campaign for DCHD Lead Poisoning Prevention Program . Contractor(s) will provide costs for developing and implementing an advertising campaign to increase lead poisoning awareness, blood-lead screening, and awareness of lead poisoning prevention services available in Douglas County Nebraska. The cost summary will list the plan’s elements, the cost of each element, and indicate what portion of the target population it will serve. 1. Develop and implement a media campaign targeted at the Douglas County population at highest risk of exposure to lead hazards (lead paint, lead dust, and imported spices) which describes how lead poisoning causes illness, the purpose of blood lead screening among children 1-84 months old, and where to get blood lead screening services in Douglas County. 2. Develop and implement a media campaign targeted at Douglas County populations at high & highest risk of exposure to lead hazards (lead paint, lead dust, and imported spices) describing lead exposure reduction recommendations/services provided by DCHD. 3. Develop and implement a media campaign targeted at residents living in the Omaha Lead Superfund Site that have had the soil at their property remediated for lead by the EPA or the City of Omaha to increase participation in DCHD’s Interior Lead Dust Program.
