All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: Modular decking that sets on top of existing concrete floor. Does not attach to the floor so the system can be relocated when needed. Shelves are to hold end tab files. The selected vendor provides storage solutions for business. The Crime Laboratory must archive casework files until they are transferred to State Archives. The vendor’s agent is local and can provide onsite troubleshooting of any problems that may develop and can provide training on its use. The shelving system ought to be from an experienced manufacturer (potentially ISO 9001:2015 certified) for the design, production, installation, and service of powered mobile systems and can provide quality system registration and/or certificate. The vendor has provided fair, market rates for the high-density shelving proposed for the Crime Laboratory. If other compatible technology for high density shelving becomes available, we would look at receiving other quotations per State of Maine Procurement rules and regulations. Upright frames are made of two or more cross members mechanically assembled without screws or rivets to join the top and bottom (and center if necessary) of the post and form a rectangular upright frame. The post is made of 16-gauge 1 ¼” x 1 ½” rectangular shaped cold rolled steel. The post is slotted on each side at every one inch increment. The slots are 3/16” wide x 5/8” long and are designed to accommodate a variety of shelf and roll-out drawer configurations. The back of the post is also slotted at every 1 ½” increments. Posts are made of two rows of slots, side by side from top to bottom. Slots are 3/16” wide x 5/8” long, including 3/8” between the two rows. These slots are made of 16-gauge steel folded in a “U” shape channel at both ends with an integral safety “keeper” to the same time. Thus the uprights must allow for component integration on either 1” or 1 ½” increments depending only on the selected shelf component.
