Specifications include, but are not limited to: Task 1: Annual Tune-ups and Maintenance for NHDES engines/vessels: NHDES requires an annual or greater than 200 hours of operation tune-up (whichever occurs sooner) for the following list of vessels and power configurations: Outboard-Equipped Vessels: • Vessel - Stanley 24 ft. aluminum landing craft – Carrol B – (DES 36) Engine - 225 HP Yamaha Four-Stroke - F225XB • Vessel - Oquawka 20 ft. aluminum Skiff – Boomslinger – (DES 15) Engine - 150 HP Honda Four-Stroke – BF150A2XA • Vessel - Oquawka 20 ft. aluminum Skiff – Mudskipper – (DES 03) Engine - 150 HP Honda Four-Stroke – RF150DBBTJ-1001125 • Vessel – JBF Slick-Bar 20 ft. Skimmer (NHDES 40) including diesel power pack: Engine - (2) Suzuki Marine DF90ATX3 • Vessel - JBF Slick-Bar 27 ft. Skimmer (NHDES 41) including diesel power pack: Engine - (2) Suzuki Marine DF90ATX3 Engine Service: 1. Change engine oil and replace oil filter. 2. Change gear case oil. inspect oil for water intrusion. Make recommendations for lower unit service/rebuild based on abnormal wear and/or water intrusion. 3. Check timing belt and tensioner. Make recommendations for replacement (if necessary or due based on hours of use) 4. Check mechanical linkages, idling speed and adjust as necessary. 5. Replace spark plugs (as necessary or due based on hours of use). 6. Check propeller(s) and cotter pin. Make recommendations for replacement (if necessary). 7. Check fuel tank and filter, clean or replace filter. 8. Check water pump impeller operation, make recommendation for replacement (if necessary or due based on hours of use). 9. Check all fuel lines. Make recommendations for replacement (if necessary). 10. Check thermostat, clean or replace (if necessary). 11. Check battery fluid, refill (if necessary). 12. Check battery connections, clean and tighten (if necessary). 13. Check and replace corrosion control anodes. 14. Check crankcase breather tube (clean as needed). 15. Check cooling water passages as practicable using an IR thermometer across powerhead. 16. Check all electrical and ignition wires and connections, tighten (if necessary). 17. Check screws, clamps, bolts and nuts, tighten (if necessary). 18. Lubricate all steering connections, grease mechanical joints. 19. Check emergency stop switch, clip and lanyard, clean or replace (if necessary). 20. Check power trim/tilt fluid, refill (if necessary). 21. Check the control cables (throttle and transmission) function. Adjust as needed.
