All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: Resurfacing shall consist of one 1.5” surface course to be placed under Item 410007. Project ESALS = 4,210,000. A binder grade of PG 64S-22 shall be used for this project. The contractor shall construct a Safety Edge along the edge of the asphalt shoulder at applicable locations. All millings associated with the eradication of pavement markings shall become the property of the contractor. The roadway shall be striped for 12’ travel lanes. All longitudinal and transverse joints in the newly placed asphalt shall be sealed a minimum of 3” on each side of the joint on the entire project with a heated PG 64H-22 binder (or approved equivalent) at no additional cost to the Division. The joints shall be sealed regardless of the longitudinal joint density. The sealing of the asphalt joints shall be performed prior to the placement of permanent pavement markings.
