Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Johnson County Airport Commission is seeking responses from qualified airport consulting firms interested in providing assistance with tower siting, design, bidding, and construction services for the airport’s proposed new Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT), subject to the receipt of federal funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) program. The Airport Commission is committed to a site and facility design to ensure that all systems function properly upon occupancy in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards and for its intended purpose. The Project design shall ensure Airport maintenance staff has adequate system access, control, monitoring capabilities, documentation, and training to properly monitor, manage and maintain the facility. Additionally, Crawford, Murphy, Tilly has completed some high-level upfront planning work on this topic for the Airport Commission, see Attachment A.
