Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Administration, Division of Capitol Asset Management and Maintenance is seeking the removal of one (1) underground fuel storage tank located at Zambarano Hospital Campus, 2090 Wallum Lake Rd., Pascoag, RI 02859. 1. Gasoline Tank: Properly clean, fill with inert gas, remove, and dispose of existing 5,000 gallon gasoline underground storage tank following DEM Tank Closure Protocol. Remove all underground piping, fill, and pads related to existing 5,000 gallon underground storage tank and existing fuel dispenser island. Remove all vent pipes associated with tank. Void created by tank to be replaced with clean fill to grade, compacted, and paved. Asphalt area subject to excavation to be replaced with clean compacted fill and brought to grade and paved. 2. Contaminated Soil and/or Groundwater Removal: a. Should contaminated soil be encountered, store in a secure location identified by this office, under DEM protocol to eliminate runoff. Combined soil generated for bidding purposes is specified at 300 cubic yards total. Soil exceeding the 300 cubic yard amount will be separately bid for analysis and disposal. b. Should contaminated groundwater be encountered, provide a line item for temporary storage of petroleum contaminated groundwater via frac-tanks, analysis, and disposal. Price per gallon shall also include pumping contaminated groundwater from tank grave during tank removal.
