Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Park Ridge would like to receive proposals from well qualified engineering firms to complete engineering project design, prepare contract documents and provide construction management for a new salt dome located in the City of Park Ridge at Elm Street and Busse Highway. Work will include vetting of the site, creating a design that satisfies safety, screening, traffic circulation, drainage and permitting requirements. The property is approximately 7,650 SF (0.18 acres). The City would like to size the salt dome to hold the maximum volume of salt while providing adequate traffic flow through the site. • The Consultant shall accurately locate all visible features within the property identified and on adjacent streets where the work will be completed. The survey shall include tree locations and diameters, sidewalk/driveway locations and locations of all visible utility structures. • Utility structures shall include sewer manholes, water valve vaults, telephone and electric vaults, traffic signals, light poles fire hydrants and other facilities. The rim/ground elevation, station and offset are required for these features. Sewer manhole structures shall be opened and data regarding the manhole material, pipe sizes, pipe directions, and inverts of all pipes shall be recorded. Valve vault structures shall be opened and data regarding the vault material and depth from rim to top of water main shall be recorded.
