Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Risk Management Department of Albuquerque Public Schools is requesting proposals for insurance brokerage services. The successful firm must have knowledge and experience with State on New Mexico tort claim act. a. Marketing insurance to meet the needs of APS b. Evaluation of existing insurance and give recommendations for future coverage, as needed c. Evaluation of policies and procedures and provide recommendations for change(s) as needed d. Provide related consulting services upon request; a. Gather underwriting data b. Obtain loss information from the APS Risk Management Department – Loss runs, will be provided to the successful offeror. Your approach to provide services could include that your company utilizes loss runs to do an analysis on the services that your company provides for areas of concern for loss tendencies and/or frequencies, however that analysis is not part of this RFP. c. Insured retention examination d. Prepare underwriting submission that not only includes typical underwriting data but includes coverage specifications for each carrier to provide quotations e. Market excess program to all interested excess carriers f. Once received, analyze coverage forms, retentions, limits, premium term, etc. g. Discuss and meet with both Underwriters and APS to demonstrate program to APS h. Broker will select insurance companies with sound financial ratings, as analyzed by Best’s Rating Guide and Standard & Poor’s Insurance Rating i. Once approved, bind coverage with selected carriers
