Specifications include, but are not limited to: The septic tank shall be pumped by a certified seepage servicing operator once every three (3) to five (5) years unless inspection by a licensed plumber or authorized inspector the tank is found to have less than one-third (1/3) of the volume occupied by sludge and scum. The private sewage system shall be visually inspected by a certified septage servicing operator, inspector, or licensed plumber once every three (3) years to determine whether wastewater or effluent from the system is ponding on the ground surface. The septic tank effluent filter shall be maintained as necessary and in accordance with the manufactures specifications. Filter maintenance reports shall be submitted to LCHA as required. The qualified vendor shall submit a copy of the inspection report verifying the condition of the tank, whether wastewater or effluent is ponding on the ground surface and the date of pumping whenever this information is required by LCHA.
