Specifications include, but are not limited to: The department needs to obtain clinical assessments of sex offenders on a continuing basis for the purpose of specifically addressing their risk in the community, their amenability to treatment and identifying other relevant factors that will facilitate more effective management of the offender upon release. Offenders who have not previously been assessed or treated will be referred based on release dates as well as perceived risk. Brief follow-up assessments may be requested for offenders whose prior assessment or treatment occurred several years prior to release. A clinical assessment, including the initial risk assessment and a management plan, will be submitted for each offender assessed.
