Specifications include, but are not limited to: Work under this contract shall consist of improvements at the City of Unalakleet WTP including installation of a new owner furnished backup generator, a new building electrical service and various interior and exterior electrical system improvements. The contractor shall be responsible for providing complete operational systems; The existing power distribution system at the WTP is a product of multiple upgrades and is unstable as evidenced by frequently tripping circuit breakers. The proposed upgrades will replace existing components to provide a functional, code-compliant system. The existing standby generator is oversized and is temporary until the generator module is installed. The proposed upgrades will provide a new, exterior, walk-in standby generator for emergency power. In 2021 the generator module was purchased by VSW and includes Vendor field service for start-up and commissioning. It is anticipated to be delivered on the first barge to Unalakleet in Spring 2023 and is owner-furnished equipment.
