As part of the BPU’s operations, there is occasionally a need for assistance with temporary traffic control. These services may include but are not limited to road closures with detours, which require a traffic control plan submittal to the Unified Government, and lane closures on four-lane roads. The duration and frequency of traffic control services vary depending on the type of work being performed. Additionally, BPU is not always able to provide advance notice, so there is a need for unplanned assistance during and outside of normal business hours
