Specifications include, but are not limited to: The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT or Department) is requesting proposals from qualified firms or Offerors for the purpose of hiring a contractor(s) to perform environmental site investigation, monitoring, remedial activities, and associated reporting for NMDOT locations within the State of New Mexico. Work may include advancing soil borings, installing monitoring wells, sampling and lab analysis for groundwater, soil, air, and building materials for environmental contaminants such as petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, salts, metals, asbestos, biologic toxins, or pathogens. Sites are predominantly, but not exclusively, hydrocarbon releases regulated by the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) Petroleum Storage Tank Bureau (PSTB). 1. At the direction of the NMDOT Hazardous Materials Investigation Bureau (HMIB) conduct environmental site investigation, monitoring, remedial activities, and associated reporting for NMDOT petroleum storage tank sites within the State of New Mexico. 2. Assigned work may include, but not be limited to, advancing soil borings, installing monitoring wells, sampling and lab analysis of groundwater, soil, air, and building materials for environmental contaminants such as petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, salts, metals, asbestos, biologic toxins, or pathogens. 3. Within ten (10) days from receipt of a task order, or request for work from NMDOT HMIB personnel, the Contractor(s) shall develop and submit a work plan to the NMDOT HMIB Program Manager.
