Specifications include, but are not limited to: Work necessary to stabilize roadside embankment on East Barnard Road (TH #2) in East Barnard. The work will specifically include lowering the road, installing underdrain, reconstruction of a driveway transition, and construction of rip rap slope. East Barnard Road can be closed to traffic for a target maximum of 14 days and absolutely no longer than 21 days. Road closure shall be coordinated closely with the Town of Barnard Town Administrator, Road Crew, and Emergency Personnel. Detours - Detour shall be provided for the Derek and Linda Ward residence. Refer to project plans. 3. Inspections - The Town will assign a Licensed Professional Engineer to monitor quality control and quantities during the slope project. The Contractor shall work with the inspector to ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with the plan and contract requirements. The inspector will be available to the Contractor for questions and issue management. 4. Permits - The contractor is responsible for complying with all applicable permits for the project. 5. Hauling - The Town of Barnard would like the option of using the hauling pay item, or hauling the common excavation material with Town trucks. The contractor shall coordinate with the Town regarding the hauling. The Town has a location to dispose of the fill that is 8.0 miles from the project site, see attached site map for trucking route.
