Specifications include, but are not limited to: Friends of the Mad River (FMR) is seeking a consultant to develop a list of potential natural resource and flood vulnerable structure buy-out projects within the Mad River Watershed. This work will include prioritizing prospective projects, ranking them, and developing 30% designs for the three highest ranked projects. Using Vermont DEC’s Functioning Floodplain Initiative application, as well as other relevant spatial data, the consultant will identify potential flood-vulnerable structure buyout and natural resource projects that optimize water quality and flood resiliency benefits. Projects will be ranked on feasibility and the top 6 projects will receive a 30% design. This project should be underway by Spring 2023, allowing for two full field seasons (2023 & 2024) for field verification and community engagement
