Specifications include, but are not limited to: The South Dakota Department of Health is searching for information to complete an analysis of the rural healthcare access needs across the state in addition to an analysis of the current state programs and their adequacy to meet those access needs. The Department expects a consultant to complete the following: an environmental scan with supportive research, a data analysis, stakeholder engagement sessions, and final recommendations to understand the factors that impact healthcare access in rural South Dakota. At minimum, the consultant should consider healthcare workforce development and support of rural healthcare facility settings in alignment with the current State Office of Rural Health programming.
