Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Project provides for construction of street improvements approximately 2 miles in length. Roadway widening and major signal work will occur at the Nieman Road and 74th Street Intersection. Major signal work will occur at the Nieman Road and 67th Street Intersection. The majority of work will consist of replacement of storm sewer, curb and gutter, and sidewalk as needed and a complete mill and overlay of the roadway as well as signing, striping, seeding, and sodding. The installation of street lighting upgrades from Shawnee Mission Parkway to 75th Street and fiber optic conduit from Shawnee Mission Parkway to 79th Street as well along 75th Street from Nieman Road to Quivira Road are bid alternates on the project. Due to a potential procurement delay. The City ordered signal cabinets and signal poles through a competitive bid in late 2022. The shop drawings for the signal poles are included in the bid package.
