Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Albuquerque currently has numerous private properties that are either a structural hazard or are in a substandard condition and are creating a nuisance to the neighborhood and surrounding community. State statute 3-18-15 and City ordinance Uniform Housing Code; 14-3-1-1 allow for the City to demolish these properties in a variety of ways when owners or responsible parties are either unwilling to demolish, do not have the resources to perform the demolition themselves or after extensive searching, the City is unable to locate the owner or responsible party. The resulting contract will provide contractors the City can solicit for the demolition of these properties. In addition to these services, City departments are authorized to use the contract awarded under this RFB for the demolition of structures they are responsible for that need to be demolished.
