QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
Q: On the Schedule of Items for portions of the herbicide treatment work the contractor must furnish the chemicals. Would you be able to provide a list of acceptable products in order for us to consider through our bid?
A: The estimated average overall cost for herbicides would be $75 per acre with a range of $65 - $85. The actual chemicals used would be site / target species specific as identified on an individual task order. A list of commonly used chemicals (standalone or in combinations) includes glyphosate, imazapyr, triclopyr (ester and amine), metsulfuron methyl, fluroxypyr, and sulfometuron methyl (mixed with a nonionic surfactant). Application rates would be site specific as well, but never exceed the recommended label rates.
