All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: The PREA Emotional Support Services Provider must provide emotional support services to victims of sexual abuse (as defined by PREA) at any of the six (6) RIDOC facilities, including, but not limited to: a. Scheduling in-person meetings with eligible inmates at the facility wherein the inmate is being housed within 72 hours (excluding legal holidays, weekends, or exigent circumstances) of receiving a referral from the RIDOC PREA Coordinator to offer PREA Emotional Support Services. b. Documenting in writing all meetings and contacts with inmates eligible for PREA Emotional Support Services. c. Responding to RIDOC facilities or offices to accompany and support inmates eligible for PREA Emotional Support Services during investigative interviews with the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), the Office of Inspections (OI), Rhode Island State Police (RISP), and/or any other law enforcement entities as appropriate. d. Providing in person, written correspondence and/or telephonic contact for crisis intervention and emotional support as needed for inmates eligible for PREA Emotional Support Services; and e. Providing referrals, including, but not limited to RIDOC Behavioral Health Services, as needed.
