Specifications include, but are not limited to: Serve as a hearing officer upon designation by the Department of Health b. Establish and maintain an official file for the case containing all correspondence, pleading, exhibits, and recommended decisions for all assigned administrative hearings, including those related to contested regulatory sanctions and rulemaking. c. Timely prepare and deliver the official administrative records along with the recommended decision or any final action taken in a case or rulemaking to the Department, and cooperate as necessary in preparing and certifying the official files for any subsequent appeal or related court action, if any further action is required. d. Resolve all pre-hearing matters, including motions and discovery matters. e. Conduct the administrative proceeding in accordance with appropriate procedure and practice.
