Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this RFP is to obtain a contractor for After Hours pharmacy services for an existing 25-bed CMS certified and Joint Commission accredited psychiatric hospital. Pharmacy Services will be defined as the following: 1. Review and verification of medication orders for appropriateness. 2. Entry of medication orders into the State Pharmacy computer systems based on State policies, procedures, and protocols. 3. Follow up with appropriate members of the State nursing, pharmacy or other medical staff at VPCH to clarify any issues with the medication orders. 4. Drug information provided to medical staff at VPCH. Additional services may be ordered; a. Contractor shall cooperate fully with the State Director of Pharmacy or designee at VPCH to obtain and maintain, always in accordance with VPCH policies, procedures and protocols, unique user identification and password-protected access to VPCH Pharmacy System for each Contractor Pharmacist. Contractor will provide reasonable assistance in the completion of security documentation necessary for Contractor Pharmacists to maintain Pharmacy System access. b. A Contractor Pharmacist who fails to observe the data security and password protections procedures of the State Pharmacy at VPCH may be removed from providing Pharmacy Services at VPCH upon notice to the Contractor, following consultation between Contractor and State. c. Remote access for the Contractor. Pharmacists will be provided through the State managed; vendor-to-State passed through-to-Evident Virtual Private Network (VPN).
