Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Conduct an evaluation of maintenance needs and provide estimates for services • Perform selected cleaning, repair and maintenance services on the City’s collection of Public Art located throughout the city in both indoor and outdoor settings. • Onetime catch-up maintenance on various art pieces. We haven’t had regular maintenance for several years so there are more pieces that need cleaning and repair. • Furnish all necessary materials and supplies to complete the work. The City shall make water and electrical services available with appropriate prior notification. The City shall arrange access to existing paint products as needed. • Understand safety issues and perform the work in a safe and professional manner according to local, state and federal regulations, taking appropriate measures to ensure their firms and the public’s safety while performing services. • Make recommendations regarding the maintenance of the collection utilizing “best practices” and Consultant’s professional judgment. Make recommendations for prioritizing maintenance of the City’s Public Art collection within a given budget. • Produce maintenance /condition reports complete with photo documentation as necessary on cleaned/repaired/restored pieces in the collection. • Participate in the City’s art selection process and provide comments regarding maintenance issues pertaining to the artwork under consideration. The anticipated frequency for this participation is up to three meetings per calendar year; one to two hours per meeting. • Review installation plans for new artwork and provide appropriate recommendations, comments, and or suggestions.
