Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry, (Department) is seeking proposals to provide Timber Stand Improvement (TSI) as defined in this Request for Proposal (RFP) document. This document provides instructions for submitting proposals, the procedure and criteria by which the awarded Bidder will be selected, and the contractual terms which will govern the relationship between the State of Maine (State) and the awarded Bidder. The Bureau of Parks & Lands conducts timber harvest operations to generate revenue. Conducting TSI increases growth rates on desired trees by reducing competition from less desirable trees and can result in an increase in the annual sustainable harvest. TSI also improves habitat for snowshoe hare and other vertebrates.
