Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is seeking competitive bids for the Hay Lease at Clinton State Park per t following Specifications. 4.1. Bids will be accepted on the price per acre. 4.2. This bid is for the calendar years of 2023 to 2025, with an option of renewal for three additional years at the same price of the previous three years. Number of acres will be the same from year to year unless there are needed changes agreed upon by both parties. 4.3. Only one cutting per year will be allowed. Successful bidder is responsible for the cost of cutting, swathing, bailing and removal of hay. All grass must be cut and removed. Any grass left standing must be agreed upon by the manager and the successful bidder. If grass is left standing without prior approval, the contract for the following years may be voided. 4.4. All bales must be removed from the grass area within one week of being cut to avoid dead spots. All bales must be removed from the park area by September 15 of that year. If bales are left in the park past October 1st, they become the property of the park for removal unless agreed upon by the park manager.
