Specifications include, but are not limited to: These specifications are intended to cover the purchase of Watercraft Liability Insurance for the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 32-1142, Senate Bill 157, 2008 Kansas Legislative Session and K.S.A. 75-41 During the 2008 Session, the Kansas Legislature passed and the Governor approved Senate Bill 157, which required that the Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism purchase vessel liability insurance on vessels owned, operated, maintained, or controlled by the Department. As used in the Senate Bill, the term “vessel” includes motorized and non-motorized vessels and other methods of aquatic transportation used by the Department.
