Specifications include, but are not limited to: qualified Bidders for Bus Shelter Replacement Batteries. This project will include the procurement, removal of existing batteries, and replacement of batteries in 1000 shelters. 1. Materials Procurement a. Procure and provide two-thousand (2000) batteries (2 batteries per shelter). Any freight/shipping and/or delivery costs shall be included. b. Contractor shall be responsible for battery storage and care. Battery warranty shall not commence until installed and accepted by RTC. 2. Battery Replacement a. This scope comprises removal/replacement of two-thousand (2000) batteries for onethousand (1000) bus shelters throughout the Las Vegas Valley. RTC to provide list of locations. b. To gain access for battery replacement, contractor shall remove existing locking mechanisms to open the advertisements panels/doors, which include locks and tamper proof screws. RTC will provide keys and security bits. Contractor is responsible to return to RTC keys and unused security bits. c. Contractor shall verify working condition of terminal wire connections (to battery) and replace with new. There shall not be additional cost for replacement. d. Contractor shall verify shelter doors are secured after battery replacement. e. Contractor shall palletize all used/old batteries. Batteries are to be stacked two high and separate by cardboard and shrink-wrapped. Contractor must indicate on each pallet how many batteries are included. Pallets shall be delivered to the Sunset Maintenance Facility (5165 W Sunset Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89118) between the hours of 8am to 4pm Monday through Thursday.
