Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) Port of Alaska (Port) is soliciting proposals for a Design/Build Contract from qualified Design/Build Contractors (Contractors) for design, and construction services for a new gangway at the Petroleum Cement Terminal (PCT). The project site is located in the southwest quadrant of the Port, near Cook Inlet, on the Petroleum Cement Terminal (PCT) ; The design and feasibility of the gangway shall be the responsibility of the contractor. Provide detailed drawings and calculations by an engineer registered in the State of Alaska. Provide a design drawing for POA stakeholder to approve at 35% and 95% design showing the gangway operating through an anticipated tide cycle on the design vessels at the PCT. The gangway design shall include the follow features: • The nominal dimensions • The clear inside walkway space • The weight of the gangway • Provide wheels or a hinge point on the dock side and a skid on the ship side • Provide handrails • Provide a slip resistant deck • Provide a minimum of 4 lifting eyes • Provide a single point lifting apparatus with any required spreader bars or attachment hardware to lift the gangway.
