Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Dover, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide weed control services in Dover, NH for the summer of 2023. The City has prohibited use of any glyphosate-based herbicides, and has experimented with steam treatments, mechanical removal via street sweepers, and organic treatments augmented with crack & crevice filling utilizing polymeric sand. Based on prior experiences with steam, mechanical, and organic treatments, we have not found a solution that we feel is optimal. We continue to seek recommendations and proven alternatives. The City is therefore requesting pricing for 3 possible options, as noted on the attached Bid Form. While glyphosate-based herbicides are now prohibited, we request pricing and recommendations for an alternative pre-emergent herbicide. We are also requesting pricing for possible mechanical means, such as weed-whacking, hand-pulling, burning, etc. A third option would be an organic (OMRI listed product), supplemented with possible crack & crevice filling, either with polymeric sand, or other option.
