Specifications include, but are not limited to: The objective of this Statement of Work is to obtain equipment to assist New Mexico Tech’s Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center (NMT/EMRTC) in conducting a military ordnance recognition course for public safety bomb technicians sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (DHS/FEMA). The equipment should allow participants to safely conduct visual assessments of a variety of highly detailed realistic inert ordnance items in order for them to apply safety measures to mitigate these threats to the community. This task provides for the purchase of highly detailed realistic inert ordnance items for classroom display, participant examination, as well as field demonstrations and evaluation exercises. These items must be durable and contain sufficient detail to allow participants to identify the specific ordnance item, classify its function, identify individual features, and recognize fuzing and firing systems.
