Physical Requirements: The Dense Soda Ash supplied shall be a dry, white granular powder containing no large lumps or crystals. It shall be free flowing and suitable for storage in closed, hoppered bins and for feeding with a standard dry feeder. The product is to have a minimum of 56 pounds per cubic foot (56 lb./cu ft) density. Super Bag chemical must pass a minimum 1 inch (1") screen as per AWWU specifications. All caked or damp chemicals will not be accepted. B. Chemical Requirements: The material, as delivered, shall contain not less than 99 percent (99%) by weight of Sodium Carbonate. "Na2C03," or Sodium Oxide "Na20" equivalent of not less than 57.9 percent (57.9%). The insoluble matter shall not exceed 0.05 percent (0.05%). C. Packaging Requirements: All 2,000 pound super bags will be a maximum of 4 feet by 4 feet by 4 feet (4' x 4' x 4') in size. The chemicals shall be delivered in new, clean, super bags with a polyethylene liner. Each bag shall have a bottom spout and draw string, or AWWU approved equal. Clearly label each bag to identify the name of the product and weight. Any ripped, torn, or leaking bags are subject to rejection.
