Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this solicitation is to select a respondent that can satisfy the State’s need for Fish Feed. It is the intent of the State of Indiana to contract with a respondent that provides quality Fish Feed for All State Agencies, specifically the Department of Natural Resources. The State intends to establish a statewide Quantity Purchase Agreement (QPA) for Fish Feed for All State Agencies. A Quantity Purchase Agreement is a contract between the State and contractor, in which commodities are supplied to Indiana state agencies on an ongoing, as needed basis. Fish food provided under this Contract may be closed (proprietary) or open formula, as long as the requirements for each of the diets requested are met in the specification in the following sections of this document. Fish food shall be milled no more than 60 days prior to delivery. Production information will be maintained as outlined in: Section 6, Part B (2A) of the Association of American Feed Control Officials, Guidance/Framework for Best Management Practices for Manufacturing, Packaging and Distributing Animal Feeds and Feed Ingredients. Good Manufacturing Practices: The Contractor’s mill, equipment and manufacturing procedure must comply with all Food and Drug Administration requirements. The Contractor will follow the Association of American Feed Control Officials Guidance/Framework for Best Management Practices for Manufacturing, Packaging and Distributing Animal Feeds and Feed Ingredients.
